Who is Justinian I ADR?
We provide alternative dispute resolution with a fresh approach. Resolving disputes requires listening and creative problem-solving. At Justinian I ADR, while we are seasoned neutrals, we are open-minded individuals who see, hear, and respect all participants in their goal of dispute resolution. Justinian I ADR believes in equal treatment and ethical practices for all parties involved in a dispute and you can be assured both you and your clients will be respected and heard. Our mediators will listen to the perspectives of all parties with a modern approach.
While mediation can be conducted by non-lawyers, Justinian I ADR’s mediators are all California licensed attorneys. Justinian I ADR does not provide legal services and mediation is not the practice of law.
A “mediator” or neutral or helps the parties reach a mutually acceptable resolution of the dispute. The mediator does not decide the case, but helps the parties communicate so they can try to settle the dispute themselves. Mediation may be particularly useful when family members, neighbors, or business partners have a dispute. Mediations can result in creative solutions, longer-lasting outcomes, greater satisfaction, and improved relationships.
Alternative dispute resolution (ADR) refers to the different ways people can resolve disputes outside of the Court system, including mediation. ADR is confidential, less formal, and less stressful than traditional court proceedings and saves parties money.
Justinian I or Justinian the Great was one of the most prominent and influential Roman emperors who codified Roman law in the Corpus Juris Civilis in 529. Justinian I was a pioneer for women’s rights and passed laws to protect women, widows, orphans, and to prevent women from being forced into prostitution. The Corpus is still the basis of civil law in many countries and is influential to this day.
